I'm defining my "device." What are the GPM fields for?

When you define your device you'll find a field labled "GPM" next to each zone name.  "GPM" stands for Gallons per Minute.

These are optional fields.  They are provided to help you estimate your irrigation water usage.

You can obtain a fairly accurate estimate of the Gallons per Minute used in your zone if you locate the flow rates for all of the sprinkler heads within the zone and add them up to one number.  This is called the Zone flow rate, and is at most an estimate of water used.

It's a good idea to try to estimate these numbers.  If you do, LawnCheck provides a total cycle usage rate in gallons for each scheduled cycle.  This number is modified by the LawnCheck scheduler to take into account your any monthly scaling that you have applied during your program setup.

In the future, LawnCheck will be providing water usage reports based on these numbers.
